If you select the patient in the Scheduler and navigate to the EMR, the patient should already be loaded globally. You should not have to search for them again.
Alternatively you can tap F3 on your keyboard to bring up the Quick Patient Summary; this opens the chart in a separate window (which can be minimized, and will reload for each selected patients) so that you can review the patient without leaving the area of the program you are in. If you would like to launch the FULL chart without navigating away from the Scheduler, you can ALT+Click the EMR module; this will launch the whole section in a separate window.
