Have a highlighter function for documents

Would like to see a highlighter function for important information to be highlighted in documents we received. So if another doctor sent a letter on a patient and there was important information in the letter it could be highlighted to pop out when you open that letter.

    Admin response

A feature to address this idea is currently scheduled for the 2016.02 iteration of Accuro. Should QHR Technologies be required to reschedule the feature, an additional comment will be added to advise of the new schedule.

Upon release, the Idea will be moved to the Completed tab and QHR Technologies will provide further detail on the implemented solution.

    Hi Amanda,

The annotation functionality is available for use in the Home > Documents section, as well as from the Virtual Chart.

Hi Alison, I was thinking this was for the providers being able to highlight something that is already loaded in the chart. to highlight something in the report.

    Hi Amanda,

The highlighter function was added in build version 2016.02. We added the annotation functionality at that time, which include a highlighter option.

When in the Document section, there is the <Annotate Document> button on the far right, under the Send to Provider, Clear, and Open buttons. This allows you to highlight, add text, and add signatures to Documents ad hoc. This functionality is also available on the Virtual Chart, and in the Document inbox for providers when they are reviewing documents.

If you would like assistance with using annotations, please contact the service desk at 1-866-729-8889; a Client Services Analyst would be happy to overview the functionality with you. Thank you!

In the 2016.02 iteration of Accuro, users will be able to highlight Documents they have received, as well as add Text and Signatures. This can be done on a Document from the Documents Folder in the Home Section, from the Virtual Chart and from the Documents upload section.

For more information on this feature as well as to find out Release Dates for the 2016.02 release, please see the Accuro EMR New Releases Page:
