Similar to when creating templates, you can add Tags to macros to pull in data that has been stored in discrete data fields within the EMR.

When in the macro editor (accessed through a right click > Find Macro from a note) or in the Template Wizard, you can right click in the body of your macro to access the list of tags. You can pull from all fields in the patient demographics, appointment details, medical history bands, etc.

Right click to see the list of tags, hover over the category you wish to pull data from and then select the tag. The tag is then inserted into your macro, and will pull the patient specific information when activating the macro on a patient note. See screen shot for list of Tag categories, and specifically the Medical History Band tags.

Would be helpful to have macros that contain information from the medical band pull information into forms.
