Mail: Tick Boxes to select (multiple) recipients rather than ctrl-click?

When sending messages to multiple recipients it can sometimes be difficult because our site has around 100 different employees and when sending a message to multiple people across different sites, the only way to do it is to scroll through the entire list and ctrl-click on all the people you want to send the message to. You cannot search and click on one person and then search for a second person and click them it only keeps the most recently clicked person. If there were tick boxes next to the recipients it would be much easier to send a message to multiple people (because lets face it, not everyone remembers to hold ctrl when clicking on multiple recipients!)
