Would be very helpful to be able to customize prescriptions, as often specialists are needing to adjust the pre exsisting prescriptions for patient specific needs, and there is not enough functionally for this in the EMR, that we often get lots of confusion from pharmacies.
I agree. I would think that vast majority of users are printing or faxing Rx in a 8x11 page format. By allowing users to utilize the full page, we can cut an paste relevant clinical notes or patient reminders etc. In addition the fonts are small and difficult for older users. Space could also be used for reminders as who will complete refill and non-insured charges.
This is something that would be very handy! Our doctor ended up needing to use a paper prescription pad, as there was not enough functionality in the EMR for the customized rx.
