Billing Changes rules to BC
I have been using accuro for 8 years and I have come across the changes to the billing part of accuro. For example.....last week I billed a patient for a initial consult for Dr. Moola and 5 days later he dictates to me that this patient is Work Safe BC. Unfortunately now since these billing rules have been implemented I cannot change this billing insurer to WCB because to has been already submitted. I called Accuro help line and asked them to as to why I cannot do this and they simply said because clinics had ask this to be changed for accounting purposes. I think what optimed should have done is make this an option to the clinics who want this RULE and for those who don't want this rule. Now I have to debit the initial billing and resubmit a new claim in which it takes longer for a physician to get paid. I used to just simply change the insurer and add a note to teleplan. I never had a problem with this at all. Please change this back to what it used to be for me please.
