Immunization Entry (externallly provided)

When entering a vaccine that was either given outside of the clinic OR from old records to update the EMR – a lot number is usually NOT provided nor is an expiration date. Currently we have accuro set so Lot # is required (which it should be) but when entering a vaccine from outside of the clinic the REQUIREMENT for the lot number should be overridden. Currently, when you enter an immunization it is possible to un-click the box that says “administered in clinic” (which is perfect), but when this tick-box is unselected it should then allow for entry without requirement for a lot number/expiration date. It does not allow you to save these because we don’t have an immunization lot number. It would be perfect for the lot number/expiration date to be un-required as soon as it is marked that the vaccine was administered outside of clinic – because that way, the entire immunization record can be put under one category and it can be as up to date as possible.

    Admin response

A feature to address this idea is currently scheduled for the 2016.02 iteration of Accuro. Should QHR Technologies be required to reschedule the feature, an additional comment will be added to advise of the new schedule.

Upon release, the Idea will be moved to the Completed tab and QHR Technologies will provide further detail on the implemented solution.

QHR has delayed the release of immunization changes.  This idea will be updated with the new iteration number once it becomes available.
