Addendums Visible in Generated Letters

When an Addendum is added to a Clinical Encounter Note there is nowhere to add this Addendum to a generated letter from this Encounter Note. Here is the scenario: Encounter Note is created for a patient and a letter is generated to the family physician or another referred physician. After the fact, it is realized that additional information is required to be added to this same Encounter Note which may be several weeks old. By rights an Addendum should be added to the Encounter Note via a right click on the Encounter Note in the EMR main screen -> Add Note as it is law (at least in Ontario) that Encounter Notes be locked after 30 days. This addendum shows up everywhere this Encounter Note is viewed (Virtual Chart, when the Encounter Note is opened for viewing) however there is no way to view it or attach it to a Generated Letter. There may be information in this Addendum that must be resent to another doctor yet, it appears the only way to add it to the generated letter is by typing the information a second time. It is recommended that the Addendum feature be available to add at least as an attachment to the Generated Letter.

Love the addendum option with follow-up documentation.  Agree that it would be nice to choose which addendum's we'd like included in print-outs, as all of them may be information overload.

    Thanks - Melanie

Recommend an 'option' to select printing of addendums; important for pharmacy team to be able to print DRP (drug related problem) and attached follow up notes attached to this DRP.

    Thanks,

    Mike
