Accurate calculation of how many hours a provider works in a day, month or year

Customer requested to run a report for a provider to see how many hours he/she worked in a month>year, only for the office (excluding hosp. visits etc). Unable to "pull" this information from accuro unless you manually tally up the doctors hours for each month, however, the providers calender is not set, month to month (ie 1st wednesday of January office hours 09 to 1600 vs. 1st Wednseday of March: provider is in surgery w/office lunch meeting between 1100 and 1200) At times, the office manager would have to tally up each individual day, proving to be a very unefficient way to audit her provider's yearly hours.
