Referring Physician In Patient Statusbar Update when Demographics are Updated

Currently when the patients ref. physician is listed within their status bar, this is NOT updated when it is updated within the patient demographics unless NONE of their appointment details have a referring physician entered. If there is a referring physician entered in ANY of their appointment details, this is the referring physician that will populate on their status bar. SHOULD BE: Whenever the patients demographics are updated, their status bar should reflect the same information.

This just recently became apparent in one of my client's offices.  I can't really understand the workflow that was designed here.  I agree that the referring provider listed in the demographics module is what should be displayed in the status bar when the <refprovider> tag is used.
