numbering shortcut in notes

When typing in the clinical notes section, it would be nice to have a shortcut for some of the format options, especially numbering, but also for any of the other more commonly used features (much like Microsoft Word has available when typing up a document and making format changes on the fly with the keyboard). This would avoid having to waste the time of leaving the keyboard while typing to grab the mouse and point to and select your formatting option (ie numbering) then return to the keyboard. Surely a few shortcuts would speed the whole process up.
