Accurate Plotting on Pediatric Growth Charts

The percentiles generated currently on the growth charts are inaccurate - they cannot plot in between months of age. For example a 3.5 month old will be plotted according to a 3 month old age to determine the weight/height/head circumference percentiles. This is critically important as pediatricians and GPs to monitor growth, particularly for any child with growth concerns.

    Admin response

This has been addressed in Accuro build 2017.20.1

    Physical History (Child) Percentile Calculations
Previously, Accuro would round to the closest month to generate the percentiles for height-age, weight-age, and head circumference-age percentiles for Physical History (Child). Accuro has been updated to allow days to be supported, thereby allowing the percentile calculations to be more accurate up to 1856 days, after which it will revert to months. This will allow the Clinical Growth Charts (EMR section > Encounter Notes tab > Labs section > right-click "Physical History (Child)" test > "Clinical Growth Chart") to display a more precise and accurate graph.

This is a critical issue, current data is incorrect and has a direct impact on patient care.
