As long as any cholesterol lab results you are receiving electronically are linked to the built in cholesterol results, the most recent result will populate automatically in the Framingham Risk Calculator.
Lab Linking can be done in 2 locations:
Right in a patient chart, in the Labs area if you have multiple results
Hold the CTRL key and click on both values so that they are highlighted in blue.
Right Click and choose ‘Link Results’.
In the window that opens, select one of the results and click ‘Set Primary Result’.
Press 'OK' to save any changes
From Configure Lab Results
From the Accuro Start Menu, select Configuration and then choose ‘Configure Lab Results’.
Search for the name of a lab result that may have more than one entry in the EMR, such as HDL.
Select a lab result that should be linked, and press ‘Edit’.
In the Edit Result window, click on ‘Linking…’.
A list of any other lab results that are already linked to the selected result displays.
Click the add button to search for additional results to be linked.
Once another search window displays, search for the name of the result again. (You are looking for a lab with the source of "Optimed" as this is the built in result used in the Framingham Calculator)
Use the CTRL key to select more than one value.
Press ‘OK’ to link all selected values to the initially selected result.
Repeat steps f through i for all variations of the lab result name.
If required, choose the appropriate primary result by selecting the lab result name and clicking the button ‘Set Primary Result’.
Press ‘OK’ to save the linking.
Press ‘OK’ again to go back to the initial search field.
Hi Helena,
If you call the Service Desk (1-866-729-8889), a Client Services Analyst would be happy to overview the above steps with you, to help you link your lab results to populate the Framingham Calculator.
I also have been tasked with getting the calculator to populate the cholesterol results and am not able to as our results are not from the "Optimed" source? Our labs are electronically received from our local lab.
