This would be extremely helpful in our peds practice as well. In the consult template, we'd like to auto populate the child's age as : 3-years-and-9-months.

There is a tag for the Patient Status bar to display the patient age in months, up to the age of 18 years.
The tag is called Patient Age (in months, up to 18 years).
Hopefully that helps as a workaround.
Yes, age option for Pediatric patients in years + months is an important feature that must be offered by any EMR software system. Thank you.
