Track Documents in Tracking section of Encounter Notes

When you enable the Tracking section in the Encounter Notes tab of the EMR, you are able to pick items you would like to track. Labs is one of these items. However, Documents are not. Often lab results are not sent electronically, and will be sent on paper which are then sent to the provider's inbox to review. However, there is no indication while in the patient's Encounter Notes screen which Documents are still waiting to be reviewed. You are able to look at the Virtual Chart and in the Reviewed column you can easily see if the Document/Lab is still in the provider's inbox. However most physicians are doing the majority of their work from the Encounter Notes tab rather than the Virtual Chart.
