Write on documents and fax from the Home section

For example when a prescription comes in the document section that needs a question answered by the doctor for the pharmacy. It would be a better work flow to be able to write / type the response and fax it back from the home section. Currently, you have to print the document < write the response < fax manually < scan to the patient chart. This is a regular occurrence in many practices and is VERY time consuming.

    Admin response

    There is now a button in the Documents section (also accessible in the Right Click menu of the Virtual Chart) for "Annotate".

    Select the Annotate button on a document and you will be able to:

    • type text

    • add a signature

    • highlight the document

    After annotating the document, click 'OK' to save and the document can be faxed out of the EMR electronically.
