ability to remove 725a, automatic billing for discharge summary, this is false billing as discharge summaries are rarely dictated by doctor on date of discharge yet this is billing for service that is not done and definitely should not be automatic when discharge date is entered. The onus should be on the biller to make sure this is billed the same as all other billing. We have had to ask for personal payment from doctors billing discharge summaries when they did not do discharge and this was in Accuro. This must be changed. And when you make changes there should be some form of update indicator to alert us to billing changes.
