ABILITY TO "LOCK BOX" ONLY CERTAIN INFORMATION FROM THE CHART

If a patient wishes to lock down perhaps only mental health notes, it would be nice to be able to choose just specific encounter notes, or even portions of a note, that are not available to the rest of the team. Yes, you can lock an entire chart but in most cases that is not necessary and causes difficulties when the physician or allied health member is not available.

    If you hold ALT and click on a single chart item, you can mask this item only so that it is not visible to other users. The rest of the chart will still be visible.

    Steps:

    1. Hold ALT

    2. Click on the item you wish to hide

    3. Check the 'Masked' checkbox

    4. Use the add button to add any other users who are authorized to see this chart item

    5. Press OK to save

    Why has this not happened yet? It is important for patient privacy and access to required information.
