Date of Lab Submission SHOULD be the date the Lab was done, not entered!

As we see many patients in a day, with multiple doctors at once, we have the patients fill out one page when they get here. This is then inputted into the EMR the next day or two later. Same with UDT results and other number scaling tests we do. If this is entered a day or two later, the EMR automatically adds it in as the date it was entered, and not as the date it should be. For example: Patient A comes in, fills out a form on Feb 2nd, as well as provides a UDT on Feb 2nd. Patient A's paperwork, and UDT result get entered into the EMR form on Feb 3rd, and are added intothe form that was opened on Feb 2nd, but the results are listed at the bottom of the screen (under "Labs" section, in "Encounter Notes" tab, in "EMR") as Feb 3rd. The date should show according to which form you choose (Feb 2nd), not when they were entered (Feb 3rd). In a clinic that is this busy, we would need to have 30 admin staff and a building triple in size in order to get everything in on time. It's just not feasible. This would change everything for us!
