Preventing the Document Type from defaulting back to the original

When we scan a large number of the same type of document for multiple patients (ie. ER sheets), we only want to change the patient name and possibly the date when the next document comes up. However the document type always defaults back. Why can it not stay on the last type selected. It would save another mouse click.

    Admin response

As mentioned in the comment, use Batch Mode to retain the Document Type along with other settings when filing similar documents. All you'll need to do is search for the patient each time you file a new document.

You can also turn off Batch Mode at anytime by unchecking the box.

There is a little check box for "Batch Mode". If you tick that off, the document type and date stays the same, patient to patient. Of course, you can easily tab through and change the date after loading your next patient name
