Abiltity to define a default "type" for forms

When designing a template, say an initial consult template, I can define a default "type" for that template, say "initial consultation". That way, in the EMR I can define a colour for all of my intial consultation and they show up easily in the EMR screen. BUT . . . if I use a form, I don't have the ability to define a type and therefore, I can not define a colour for that form. When trying to scan a chart quickly to see what has been done, the colour coding is very important to me and I hope a bunch of others so we can get this implementation in.
