Currently if I go in to edit a (generated) letter after I put it in the queue, my support staff can't tell that I'm doing so and might send it off before I'm done. Also, because we have more than one support staff that works on letters in the queue, they can't tell if another support staff member is already working on a particular letter. If an alert popped up, similar to the one that does when you try to open a chart note when it's already open on a different computer, that'd be helpful. Another option would be to 'check out' the letter similar to tasks, but that would mean more clicks and slow the user(s) down more.
