We have four billing groups at our clinic - two for hospital billing and two for clinic billing. Currently, billers have to manually add a group number to each bill when the default group number is incorrect - depending on who we are billing for. We have at least ten doctors and sometimes over twenty with locums. If hospital billers set a doctor to default under a specific group (under config. providers), that also sets the default for clinic billing, which would result in an incorrect group number. We love the batch billing preferences! It just needs a field for the Group Number.
I agree. It also needs a field for Specialty, so that sub-specialists who also bill as Internists can easily pick the correct specialty when on-call.
