With the new option to Annotate from the Documents section more physicians are sending out their prescriptions from the Documents section after Annotating. Having the patients Default Pharmacy icon within the Fax Recipients window would speed up workflow. Currently the user has to find the pharmacy on the document or in the Patient section and then search the address book.
frequently documents are requesting an answer ie from pharmacy or another clinician.
after annotating, a 'fax back', or 'reply to sender' would be great. 'patient's pharmacy' would help for a lot of the pharmacy requests, although sometimes the request comes from a different pharmacy that the one that sends the fax request ie for refills.
This. The ability for a practitioner to easily find the Pharmacy within the fax recipients pop-up as soon as the preferred Pharmacy is added to chart would be ideal and a great time-saver.
In Document: when MD reviews Pharamcy request.
The the patient's source fax should be available to fax back (reply)
Also, the ability to fax back to patient's pharmacy should be available in the fax window similarly how the family or referring doctor icon exist in the fax out window.
The ability to view patient's medication in this window without switching to back to EMR/Encounter to view medications. This will simplify repeat or responds to pharmacy.
The pharmacy such as SDM should be sending request via eprescribe if receive requests through eprescribe and not fax it through a fax.
