Ontario Billing -Diagnostic Codes

Not all procedure codes require a diagnostic code but the program requires us to put one in. These codes such as G010, etc, should be allowed to be submitted without a diagnostic code attached.

Due to a ministry update of codes and compliance, procedure codes will now require diagnostic codes unless on the list of exemptions that we received from the Ministry.

In reviewing the documentation, G010 is not listed as an Exception.  The document can be found here:  http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/publications/ohip/docs/techspec_interface_hcsm.pdf

Section 4.9 lists all the Exceptions.
