I'm curious if you are faxing back from the Documents section, where you file documents to a patient's chart, or from the Document Inbox in the Home section?
You can definitely Annotate like the comment suggests here. And if you are working out of the Document Inbox you could even attach other Chart items if necessary, since the document is attached to a patient record at this point.

You can right click and Annotate it, type the little response right on the letter from the referring physician, and then fax back, all from the documents
