Letter Queue/ Referral Task for Forms

Generated Letters have the ability to be forwarded to the Letter Queue by the physician and a task created for follow up on that referral letter.  Quite frequently, we are getting pre-designed fillable referral forms from specialists.  They request these instead of our generated letters for referral.  These forms are added to the EMR to make it easier for the physicians to complete and send.  However, there is no follow up for these forms that are sent through the fax queue.  There is no ability to forward them to the letter queue and for a referral task to be created for follow up, similar to a generated letter.  A separate task can always be created but for process, it should be available when the form is being completed instead of having to do multiple different steps.  For audit and follow up purposes, this development has been requested by our physicians.

    If you save the forms under "Requisitions" then they will be tracked in the "Outstanding Requisitons, Referrals and Orders" Report.
