Dictionary is still somewhat limited, despite downloading an additional dictionary to EMR. Dictionary does not recognize hyphens, and therefore many words that are hyphenated are considered incorrect. This then makes it more difficult to identify an incorrectly spelled word, and creates quite a great deal of second guessing Also, spell check should preserve case.
I agree. Also when reviewing what's in the dictionary by default, there are many words in there I've never heard of yet there are still medical terms that aren't included. Where did Accuro get this dictionary? I've been on Accuro almost 5 years now and I'm still having to add words to the dictionary. The inclusion of many words that I'm not familiar with (I'm not saying they're not real words just rarely used) seems to hamper the ability of the spell checker to function as well as it should.
