Recurrence flexibility to mimic Microsoft Outlook recurrences

Hi Accuro,

There is a recurrence function when I do a booking in Accuro, but I have a few questions as it is quite limited:

1. Is there a way of choosing something more specific to mimic Microsoft’s Outlook recurrence function? (ie. recurrence to be made every 2nd wed of every month, or every 3rd Tuesday of every other month, or Tues and Thurs of every month)??

2. Is there a way of editing a recurrence after you've entered it? After simulating this recurrence, the selection seems to disappear once you click on each booking again after and it almost looks like a single booking but no way of even telling that it was part of a recurrence in the first place that I did. Is there something that can appear in a booking or a setting that is unclicked in my user preferences maybe that needs to be checked off in order to view the word "recurrence" again? Changes happen a lot so wondering if there is a way of easily and quickly editing a recurrence if needed.

3. Is there a quick way of removing a recurrence so it removes all that is recurred as right now I only can do it one way and that is clicking on every single selection and deleting it which is quite tedious as it was originally transferred from our old booking system in Outlook to Accuro with an "indefinite end date".

Please advise. Thank you.

Thanks for your Idea Leanne, I will answer you specific questions below but I believe this Idea should remain as is to improve the workflow and ease of use for Recurring Appointments in Accuro.

    1. There is not currently a way to 2nd Tuesday of every other month or first weekday of each month. The only current options are to choose every X Days/Weeks/Months/Years.

This would be a new addition to the recurrence of appointments to have more options for dates.

    2. You are not able to edit an entire series after creating the recurrence of appointments. Once you have pressed Simulate > Run the appointments become individual appointments as if you had booked them one by one.

Again, it would be a new addition to be able to edit a Series of Recurring appointments.

    3. Since each appointment behaves independently after the Recurrence is made, there is not a built in way to cancel or remove the entire recurrence. However, if you open the Quick Patient Appointment View window (keyboard shortcut F4). You can highlight more than one appointment, right-click and choose Cancel Appointment. If you want no record of this recurrence in the patient's appointment history, choose Delete Appointment on the prompt.

Although this request might fit in with the ability to edit an entire Series of Recurring appointments, you can currently select all appointments from F4 and delete them all at once.
