We would like to link the patient "title" to "relationship status"

While some patients may not have strong feelings one way or the other, there are certainly some patients that prefer to be addressed by their proper title, based on what stage of life they are in. Adding this functionality would improve communication between providers, MOA's and patients. This would prevent unnecessary tension and escalation in certain "sensitive" situations.

While the title is viewable in the patient search, it is not possible to see this title in the global patient field. It would be handy to be able to see this no matter where we are viewing the patient from.

We had already added the patient "title" to the patient info at the top of the page.  When I refer to global patient field I meant the pt info at the top of the page - I may have used the wrong terminology - oops!  What we would like to be able to do, is be able to adjust the "title" when we fill in the relationship status drop down box on the patient page.  i.e., if we enter the relationship status of single, we would like the "title" to automatically change to "Ms" or if we enter a relationship status of married, then the "title" would automatically change to "Mrs", etc.  Currently the "title" changes according to the gender entered for the patient (M = Mr and F = Mrs) and we had hoped that we could link the "title" to relationship status and not gender.

    Hello,

Patient Title is available as a tag to add to your Patient Status bar - is that what you mean by "global patient field"?

To add Patient Title to your status bar:

    1. Go to the Accuro menu, type User Preferences
    2. Click the Display button then the Display tab
    3. In the Demographics Status Bar field, just before the patient name, right click.
    4. Select "Title" from the Patient menu.

Please let me know if I've misunderstood.

    Thank you,

    Shelley
