It is very often that I want to print a letter for a patient and to provide it to them directly. It is a hassle to have to select myself as the provider just to print. Additionally in Alberta we are moving to ereferral which allows consult letters to be uploaded. They will not be faxed any longer making it an additional benefit to easily print letters to PDF to migrate them into netcare.
There is now a checkbox in the letter generation window to save the letter as a PDF.
After generating a letter, check the box in the lower left to 'Save to Chart as PDF'. Then click Send Letter. You do not need to have a recipient entered, and Accuro will prompt you to save the letter to the chart as a PDF. Then you can follow the prompts and print the letter, if required.
