Now that email communication is condoned with patients and has a BC billing code T10007. Can Optimed make it easier to collect these communications in the patients' record? Being able to cc the email to an office ACCURO inbox would help.
We will not be implementing an external e-mail integration into Accuro, as transmitting health records via e-mail poses a risk to the privacy and security of a patient's personal health information (PHI).
With Accuro's Healthmail feature, however, there are the options of:
- Secure Patient Messaging, which allows you to both securely message and send chart information to a patient: https://accuroemr.com/clinic-tools/secure-patient-messaging/
- ePrescribing, allowing the transmission of prescriptions electronically/direct communication with pharmacists: https://accuroemr.com/emr-software/prescriptions/
We are also looking for sites that may be interested in piloting our Provider-to-Provider messaging service, which is currently being developed.
If that is something that your clinic would be interested in participating in, please reach out to pdpmo@qhrtech.com for more information.
