frequently used OTC medications in external meds--the list of these meds is very long and it would be nice to be able to have a favorites for OTC meds such as calcium, vit D and folic acid
yes, that is a problem
when I create a med in external meds using the favourites- it creates a prescription and in fact logs it into the Active meds.
Favourites for External Medications do exist, but they are not exactly easy to use.
You can quickly save an External Med as a favourite by selecting one already on a patient chart and clicking the Star button to save as Favourite.
To apply this favourite to another patient chart, you click the Star button in the External Medications History Band. You can sort by Category in the window that appears to find all "External" Favourite types. However, Accuro forces SIG instructions and a Medication form which would not have necessarily been chosen initially when the External Med was added to the first patient's chart.
