Multiples are added to claims to indicate more than one service or procedure. This column should be relabeled to match the terminology used in Nova Scotia to avoid errors.
I agree with renaming to 'multiples'. For example, when billing for resections of the lung, we use multiples to show how many how many samples were taken at the time of surgery. If wedge resections were done from right upper lobe, right middle lobe, and right lower lobe we use a multiple of 3 to show that 3 wedges of lung were taken. The word 'calls' in no way implies this meaning.
