Please include midwives in the list of healthcare practitioner with prescribing authority.
Midwves are registered with the College of Midwives of Ontario (CMO). In settings for prescriptions it says: "Append CPSO/CNO # to Prescriptions" section so that it will appear appropriately on the prescription. Please add CMO to that list so it will look like this CPSO/CMO/CNO (both in the configuration settings and for how it will appear on the prescription).
Midwives are Health Care Providers just like CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons) as well as CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario). Midwives have prescribing authority just like the CPSO and CNO, and therefore should be included as Health Care Providers
There are many items in Accuro that are physician specific and I hope to see that change over time to include midwives.
Thanks for considering this.
This will also include it on the top of prescriptions where it currently says, "CPSO/CNO", it would then read "CPSO/CMO/CNO". This will be helpful for pharmacies as well.
