ability to leave the date/time of calling a patient by clicking an icon

Sometimes patients complain to Doctor that I did not respond to their voicemails, while it is not true. We want to be able to have a section on each patient's chart, so that once you call a patient and there is no response or if leaving a message you click on the check mark and it records the time and date for clicking on that check mark. Something similar to the "massage left" section on the tasks, with the goal of not leaving a task but still be able to quickly document that you have called patient. I cannot record on accuro each time that I am leaving a message for a patient as it would be very time consuming and I am looking for a quick solution to record if clinic staff contacts patients.

    Hello,

I would have two possible workaround suggestions.

The first would be to use the Notes section of the Patient Demographics module.

    First, create a macro:

    • Accuro Menu > Tools > Template Wizard > Macros > <+> > Set parameters > <Save Changes>

      • Ensure that the share level is Office or Global, so that other users who need to can use it as well

      • Give your macro a title that is easy to type/remember (e.g. "today")

      • Put your cursor in the macro body, and right-click to choose the desired tags from the context menu (e.g. <CURRENTDATE>)

      • Once created, your macros can be added quickly to a variety of text fields within the program by either:

        • typing the name then hitting CTRL+Enter on your keyboard

        • right-clicking and choosing "Find Macro" from the context menu

      • You can read more about text macros in the Accuro User Guide.

Then add your notes using your macro:

    • Utilizing the Notes section in the Patient Demographics

      1. Patients > Notes > Add subject and use your new macro in the body > <Add Note>

Alternatively, you could create a call log history band (an administrator will need to set this up):

    • Accuro Menu > Users > Manage Security > System Settings > Configure Histories > Custom Bands > <+> Set parameters > <OK> > <OK>

    • I would suggest creating a Regular or Free Text band; I've attached examples of both

    • You can edit a patient's medical history bands without going to their chart (e.g. navigating away from the Scheduler), but using the Quick Patient Actions hotkey, CTRL+F10

If you would like assistance with either of these workflows, please contact the Service Desk at 1-866-729-8889; a Client Services Analyst would be happy to help you.
