I was acutally here to make this suggestion. As well, I think the concept of home/work/cell is outdated. I would like to see Phone #1/Ph #2/Ph#3 each with a text box
I think the cell number should be first, then home, work, and other
I totally agree with this suggestion as I feel it's very important. Everyone is calling from their cell phones and most people have a bit of an accent because we live in a multi cultural area, so to ask a pt. what their phone is that we have on file is clearer and faster to pull up their chart.
It would be nice to have all phone numbers be searchable. "Other" and anything added in the relationship tab.
do see the value to this. on top of this, if not available, could we please make the "next of kin" relationship phone numbers a searchable field. As a maternity clinic, we only have the clients information on hand, and put their next of kin info in, but that option is not searchable if we receive a call/page from an unknown number. would be very helpful, as we are currently using the "fax" field to program in the partner's phone number to make it searchable, but it's not actually a fax number.
