There needs to be a prompt of some sort to alert the doctor that their patients pharmacy has changed when they go to renew a prescription.
Currently, if a patient changes their Pharmacy, we update their profile. But when the physician renews an Rx (which shows the old pharmacy), there is no prompt to remind them to change to the new pharmacy. When the Rx is renewed, the incorrect/old pharmacy gets put back into the patient profile. Currently the only workaround is to generate a brand new prescription. However, this can be quite tedious and time consuming for patients who have multiple medications being renewed.
This has created a lot of stress and tension for our patients who have moved and dont have access to their old pharmacy to pick up their medications.
This needs to be addressed ASAP please. Prescriptions are being sent to the wrong pharmacies due to this issue.
