When a patient appt is created, this changes the patient to "open / active". If the appt has a bill attached to it, it will remain open/active until the patient is placed on the waitlist for a future appt, or their status is changed to PRN. This way, if neither things occur, you can run a list to find the "active / open" patients so it is easier to spot check for missed follow up.
