billing macros being overriden by "last diagnostic code"

There seems to be an issue which is causing problems:

  1. If a patient is scheduled for an appointment in the future, for example diagnostic code 365 in December, but then an appointment type with a Macro is created in say February, under configure, if "patient's last diagnostic code" is selected, the FUTURE appointment's billing code is overriding the macro and changing say a postop appointment from 366 to 365.

  2. My feeling is that in the PAST, billing macros DID override any past or future appointments, for example regardless if the last appointment was 365, or a 1 year follow up was already scheduled for 365, a cataract postop with a macro 366 was always billed as such.

I believe this is an error that is new and is causing big problems.

I spoke to Tech Support and they say you either have the check box checked or not, and there is no way to allow Macros to override this "last diagnostic code". I also think this has changed recently in an update because this wasn't a problem recently, but we have now billed a number of things with wrong code because the macro is being overriden by a FUTURE appointment.

I would propose:

-"Patient's Last Diagnostic Code" being check, should NOT override a billing macro and its diagnostic code (because obviously a diagnostic code has been chosen for a reason)
