It would help limit errors if only certain providers were allowed to be selected for requisitions. In our clinic we have allied health and physicians. Only the physicians and NP can order tests, however it has happened that allied health and administrative staff have been erroneously selected as the provider for requisitions. Likewise, there have been times that team members have written clinical notes on a patient and then selected the wrong provider (e.g. not themselves) and it then looks like another provider wrote the note. Given it is legal documentation, if writing a clinical note, only the person who is singed in on Accuro should be listed as the provider (not able to change manually).
