Global Pop up/Appointment Notes, popping up before Patient is Globally Loaded

When one patient is already Globally loaded in Accuro, you click another (going through labs, for instance) the Pop up for the next patient pops up before Accuro loads that patient. So it looks like the pop up is applicable to the globally loaded patient until you click ok. Then the patient with the pop up is loaded.

If you weren't reading the pop up closely, or remembering it while the patient globally loads, then you need to go to the demographics and re-read it. Feels like backwards flow to have it pop up before the patient is loaded. I would like it to load in the correct patients name.

It is very problematic because you can click the wrong name and not even know it until you dismiss the pop up. And by the time you click it, you may have already read and reacted to the information written in the global pop up

"Thank you for your inquiry. Upon further investigation our development team confirmed this is now an intended feature that the global patient does not update until you address the pop-up and click OK. Feature requests can be made in the ideas portal."

Apparently they don't care that we need to be able to clearly discern whose information we are looking at when handling time sensitive medical matters.

When I'm doing reminder calls, I can click on a patient without anything written in global message and expect to see their phone number right away because there is no pop up.

But now when I click on a patient that does have a global message pop up, I have to remember to close the pop up now so that the patient I clicked on can actually load.

I have phoned the wrong patient multiple times because ONE CLICK used to let me see ANYONE'S phone number immediately.

This is just one of many examples of why this new "intended feature" frankly sucks.

I suggest that if they intend for this order of events to be permanent, they should add the patient's name and identifying info onto the global message pop up. If you get distracted or have to walk away from the computer, when you come back it should be CLEAR whose global message you are reading. It is ridiculous to have to close the pop up to check to see if you are on the correct patient and then have to open it up again !

I complained to the Accuro specialists about this and the team apparently said this is an "intended feature". It has caused so much confusion because like you said, the pop up appears over the WRONG PATIENT.
