Scheduling won't pick up appointment availability if not on "Today"

We have 17 doctors that work out of our clinic. When we switch doctors we always have to click on "Today" in order for "Find Next Appointment" to populate an available appointment if we are past today's date. If we have already scheduled an appointment say for two weeks from today and that is the date we are sitting on, if there are available appointments for another doctor, it won't display them because the system is already" past that date". We need to be able to have it default to today's date automatically in the background so it will search for "Available Templated appointments" regardless of the date that was just booked.
