This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit ACC-I-3721 Ability to indicate that a phone number is long distance in the Patient Demographics.
It would be useful if there was an option to either click next to the phone number that it is a long distance number, or to have the space to put the number (1) before the number. I call patients everyday to remind them of their appointments for the next day, and although they're all (613) area codes, some are local and some are long distance. Instead of having to open up their chart to see which town they're from to see if it is long distance or not, it would be so much easier if I can just see it on the main page whenever I click the patients name for it to look like this, 1-(613) and not just (613) for all the numbers long distance and local.
I hope I was able to get my idea across clearly and not sound like a bunch of gibberish.
Thank you!
Salwa
Hi Salwa,
Your description is very clear. My understanding of it is when looking at the Patient Status Bar or the Patient Section of the Scheduler, you would like to see the +1 or another indicator so you know the number is long distance. Currently you have to go to the Patients Section to the see the city they are in to know.
I am going to merge this idea with another one for the same request.
Thank you for your idea,
Shelley
