Currently in Ontario, if a patient is seen in 2+ areas of a hospital within a span of a day or multiple days that has different master numbers, if you create the claims for one area and the master number and then go to enter the claims for other areas of the hospital with different master numbers, the master number and admission date are force-overriden for any claims created for the patient that are not currently submitted. In addition, if someone else attempts to create claims for the same patient for a different area of the hospital before the claims from another area are submitted, it would force change the master number on those other claims to the current one being entered, which can lead to incorrect master numbers on a lot of claims that are submitted.
It would be great if there was a way to select a claim group for a DOS and update the master number for ONLY those claims, instead of it updating every claim that's not submitted for the patient to prevent incorrect master numbers being entered if multiple master numbers are being used in succession prior to submissions.
