The 4 variable Kidney Failure Risk Equation (KFRE) is a validated tool that predicts 2 and 5 year risk of kidney failure for a patient based on age, gender, eGFR and urine ACR. Accuro EMR could automatically calculate 2 and 5 year risk of kidney failure for all patients with eGFR and urine ACR. This would be useful for Nephrologists and other Physicians who manage patients with chronic kidney disease.
This would be a great addition. We have Framingham so something like this should be able to be done and would be so useful. Helps decide who to refer to nephrology. on Manotoba Renal program website for health professionals this calculator is listed, but much more efficient to automatically able to calculate in our EMR, and then save result like can Framingham
count me in for KFRE Calculation
