Have a quick note spot in emr thats ready to edit and always visible

This would help boost productivity when you want to add a quick piece of information to a patient without having to find the right chart item

A custom Medical History Band may work for this.

You can add free text custom medical history bands if you are a System Administrator (Accuro Menu > Users > Manage Security > System Settings > Configure Histories)

The History Band could be labelled something like "notes" and each user could choose where in the list the band displays. For example, if you wanted this at the top of all Medical History Bands you can edit the order in your User Preferences.

Another benefit to the free text bands is that the history is tracked, so you won't have to add new notes each time. You can edit a past note with a new note entry and the previous note is still retained when viewing the History button.
