Locking query reports so they can't be altered or deleted

It would be helpful we you could "lock" query reports once they're built. Meaning, lock them with some sort of code or permission so once they are built they can't be altered or deleted unless you have the code or permission. Some query reports are quite intricate, with many variable layered in, and it would be helpful to protect these reports so they don't have to be re-built if someone mistakenly alters them.
