This would clean up our system immensely if we were able to edit the types and sub-types. I understand why we can't inactivate sub-types that have been used - but it would definitely lead to more consistency in our filing if we were all using the same drop-downs.
This feature would be a huge time saver.
It would also be very nice if you could change the spelling or merge duplicates instead of having to create new. This would help to clean up items.
The other option is to be able to make Document Types and Subtypes Active or Inactive. This makes the listing shorter and easier to work with.
The ability to Edit a Document Type name when selecting the pencil edit would be a huge time-saver, opposed to having to create a new Type > Transfer each patients charts from the old type to the new one patient-by-patient > Then going back to Type Manage and deleting the old one.
This could be solved with a simple:
Documents > Select Type dropdown > Manage > Select Type > Pencil Edit > Allow name of Type to be edited > Save/OK > Close.
