Remove Globally loaded patient

Currently, when a user logs out of Accuro and another user logs in, Accuro has the previous users patient loaded. This is known as the "Globally Loaded Patient". The only way to prevent this from appearing is by - Moving to the patients section, selecting F1 to clear the patient - Log out of Accuro and totally shut Accuro down, the new user then needs to relaunch Accuro and log back in. The problem with both of these options are - Multiple users will not remember to move to F1 to remove the patient - Shutting Accuro down and then relaunching it takes time, and time is money. Although it may only take XX amount of seconds to relaunch, in a setting like a Walk-In Clinic where all exam rooms are used by multiple Physicians, this adds up to valuable time. It would be beneficial to either have a System Setting to select if you wish to utilize the Globally Loaded patient, or allow the patient to be cleared from more areas of the software (For example the EMR section, or Claims)

    Admin response

A new System Setting is being added to disable the global patient functionality.  By default it will be on, so Accuro will function as it currently does.  By disabling the setting, the currently selected patient will not stay selected when a user logs off and another user logs in.
